Duration: 17 weeks (W2 contract)
Work Schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workday Advanced Compensation Consultant with deep expertise in Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation configuration. This consultant will partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and develop proof-of-concept configurations within a complex Workday environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional and configuration expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of delivering compensation-related enhancements that improve business processes and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis, solution design, and configuration efforts for enhancements within Workday Compensation Review (Advanced Compensation).
  • Design and implement automated merit increase processes that align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, data flows, and user experience requirements.
  • Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and other project documentation.
  • Develop proof-of-concept configurations to validate functionality and business fit.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and support planning, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Execute and support end-to-end testing efforts, including defect resolution and validation.
  • Provide recommendations on best practices and scalable configuration approaches within Workday Advanced Compensation.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Strong experience with Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Configuration.
  • Proven ability to gather and document business requirements through detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
  • Experience conducting and supporting End-to-End Testing (E2E) activities.
  • Strong understanding of compensation planning, merit increase processes, and compensation review cycles.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into system solutions.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated merit increase solutions (preferred).
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale Workday compensation programs in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to develop proof-of-concept configurations and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
