About the role
Provide home care services in patients' residences as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage in activities tailored to individual interests.
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's condition and adhere to the care plan.
- Complete tasks via EVV app and ensure punctuality and dependability.
- Respect patient confidentiality, privacy, and rights, while upholding safety standards.
Qualifications and skills
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Sympathetic attitude toward sick individuals.
- Deliver compassionate, reliable in-home care, support patient independence, and collaborate with a team to ensure high-quality health services.
- Must be adaptable to varied environments and client needs, with travel within a designated area required.
