About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for home care services, primarily providing care to patients within their residences.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic nursing tasks as directed by supervising healthcare professionals.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare meals tailored to patient preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage in activities suited to individual interests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, ensuring confidentiality, and follow the Plan of Care strictly.
- Use equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes, and complete documentation via EVV app or time sheets.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills and physical ability to perform tasks including lifting.
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care.
Schedule
- Weekends from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
