About the role
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services to provide essential patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care such as bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to promote mobility
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests
- Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions
- Completing assigned tasks via EVV app or time sheets while ensuring confidentiality and patient privacy
- Demonstrating dependability, adaptability, and respect for client and family value systems
- Supporting client independence within their capabilities
Qualifications
- Active certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, including reading and following instructions
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care
Additional details
- Use of basic equipment like blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, and transportation
- Physical demands include lifting approximately 50 lbs and working within varying client environments
- Travel within designated areas is required based on caseload and availability
- This role does not guarantee specific hours or assignment duration
