Role Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct home care services to patients in their residences, focusing on enhancing their well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care.
- Support patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals considering dietary needs and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage patients in activities tailored to their interests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and patient condition changes.
- Follow the care plan strictly, ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Report any concerns, changes, or safety issues immediately.
- Use EVV apps and timesheets to record tasks completed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Maintain current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following instructions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care.
The role involves traveling within the designated area and working primarily in patients' homes, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs. The position offers flexible hours based on caseload and availability, with no guaranteed hours or duration.
