About the role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for weekend home care services.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in clients' homes, including personal hygiene, transfers, ambulation, and basic nursing tasks.
- Assist with prescribed exercises and medication reminders as instructed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate documentation of care activities.
- Report changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions promptly.
- Adhere to care plans, follow protocols, and ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
- Use medical equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes as needed.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care and a strong sense of dependability.
