About the role
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services, primarily providing direct patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities suited to individual interests
- Performing light housekeeping tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting changes in client conditions
- Utilizing EVV systems for task documentation
- Upholding confidentiality, respecting patient rights, and adhering to the plan of care
Qualifications and Skills
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, including reading and following directions
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs., bend, and stand
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care
This role involves travel within a specified area and requires dependability and adaptability to diverse patient needs and environments.
