About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Assisting with prescribed exercises and basic nursing care under supervision.
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests.
- Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
- Utilizing EVV systems for task documentation and adhering to the care plan.
- Ensuring patient confidentiality, respecting rights, and reporting any abuse or neglect.
- Supporting client independence within their abilities and following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Active certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and standing.
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care and a commitment to high-quality service.
This position requires physical activity, travel within the designated area, and adherence to all policies and procedures.
