Core Responsibilities

  • Design the model, structure, and build a talented team Commercial Operations considering pre-launch to post-launch needs, and future lifecycle plans.
  • Provide direction on predictive and prescriptive analytic needs and projects.
  • Develop and manage commercial data strategy encompassing master customer view, data acquisition, aggregating, warehousing, analyzing, and reporting.
  • Ensure integration of CRM system with IT.
  • Partner with Marketing leads to design and our commercial customer engagement model.
  • Build Commercial and Field operations capability to support operational needs including field incentives, compensation, goal setting and performance measurement.
  • Develop performance measurement and reporting plan that assesses progress to goals across the pre-launch to post-launch continuum.
  • Identify the right vendors to deliver insights and expertise in support of our commercial strategies and priorities.
  • Build and generate dashboard of KPIs and performance indicators.
  • Provide leadership support and direction as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree
  • 10+ years managing data insights and analytics within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Direct experience (10+ years) in leading commercial operations and analytics teams
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems and integration into broader IT infrastructure
  • Proven track record of successful design, deployment, and refinement of analytical models
  • Experience with core Sales Operations deliverables including incentive compensation, field design (segmentation, targeting), auto programs and performance tracking
  • Strong understanding of relevant data sources and ability to create a commercial data strategy
  • Demonstrate the ability to shape long-term field sales design while effectively supporting data and insight analytic needs for the commercial organization
  • Experience in managing data insights and analytics with associated budgets
  • Ophthalmology (retina specific) experience preferred
  • Recent responsibility for a significant new brand launch preferred
