Used Vehicle Buyer

Responsibilities

• Acquire used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off-site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers or any other available avenues.
• Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensure timely processing of all purchases.
• Participate in the inventory planning process based on retail trends.
• Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries promptly, professionally, accurately, and courteously.
• Use lead management tools to generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market.
• Maintain and meet car buying quotas.
• Understand market tendencies and changes to trends in all geographic areas.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
