Used Vehicle Buyer

Responsibilities

• Acquire used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off-site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers, or any other available avenues.
• Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensure timely processing of all purchases.
• Understand retail trends and participate in the inventory planning process.
• Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate, and courteous manner.
• Generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market.
• Maintain car buying quotas.
• Understand market tendencies and changes to trends in all geographic areas.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Pay

$20 per hour with potential for bonus incentives based on cars purchased through the service lane. ($2,000-$4,000)

Schedule

Performance driven position with eligibility for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation.
