Used Car Buyer

What You'll Do

• Responsible for all faces of acquiring a used-car inventory through, direct contacts, generated leads, off site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers or any other available avenues
• Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and insures timely processing of all purchases
• Respond to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner
• Requires working in a fast-paced team environment, being effective as a self-starter and working individually as needs dictate
• Generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market
• Understand market tendencies and the changes to the trends in all geographic areas
• EFFECTIVELY utilize lead management tools
• Compile all necessary reports, forms and other documentation on a timely basis
• SPECIAL projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Active listening skills with the ability to understand and respond effectively
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Previous sales experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of the automotive market is a plus
• Basic computer proficiency
