Drives sales through effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory management, cleanliness, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Oversees stocking, rotation, display setup, and security of fragile and high-shrink merchandise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; provide feedback through store tours and communication at all levels regarding operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, manage customer service initiatives, resolve customer needs and complaints, and implement action plans to improve the customer experience.
  • Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and ensuring staffing needs are met.
  • Control unexplained merchandise loss and improve profitability by setting performance goals, measuring adherence to loss prevention policies, reviewing inventory variances, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Detect, deter, investigate, and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities, including gathering evidence, taking statements, and providing courtroom testimony as needed.
  • Monitor safety and risk controls by ensuring an effective safety program, identifying accident trends, providing training, and implementing plans to improve workplace safety.
  • Manage facility-level training, claims, and receiving operations by reviewing policies, identifying training needs, delivering training, and ensuring timely processing of claims and deliveries.
  • Oversee job-related activities by developing stakeholder relationships, supporting business initiatives, communicating goals, and promoting continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, mission, values, and ethics by implementing action plans and providing guidance on business processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of 2 years of college, or
  • 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment, or
  • 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment, or
  • 2 years’ experience in asset protection or a related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing).
  • If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certification in an asset protection-related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
  • Investigative experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Criminal Justice.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, regional pay zone adjustments (based on location), and state pay differentials where applicable.
