(USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach
About the Role
Drives sales through effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory management, cleanliness, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Oversees stocking, rotation, display setup, and security of merchandise.
Leads and develops teams by training, listening, providing feedback, and communicating business objectives and company direction. Models exceptional customer service standards and manages customer service initiatives, complaints, and process improvements.
Supervises and develops hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and setting clear expectations. Controls merchandise loss and improves profitability by identifying performance goals, reviewing inventory reports, and implementing corrective actions.
Detects, deters, and investigates policy violations and criminal activities, including gathering evidence and providing courtroom testimony. Partners with investigative entities and monitors safety and risk controls within the facility.
Manages facility-level training, asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures. Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee merchandise presentation, including pricing, signing, inventory levels, stocking, rotation, and display organization.
- Lead and develop teams through training, feedback, and communication of business objectives.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and implementing process improvements.
- Supervise and mentor hourly associates, including hiring, training, and assigning duties.
- Control unexplained merchandise loss by identifying performance goals, reviewing inventory reports, and implementing corrective actions.
- Investigate policy violations and criminal activities, gather evidence, and provide courtroom testimony.
- Monitor safety and risk controls, identify accident trends, and implement solutions to prevent accidents.
- Manage facility-level training, asset protection, claims, and receiving procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and support the company’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, support business initiatives, and promote continuous learning.
Requirements
- Completion of 2 years of college, or
- 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment, or
- 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment, or
- 2 years’ experience in asset protection or a related area.
- Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing).
- If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certification in an asset protection-related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
- Investigative experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Criminal Justice.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Complex Structure, and state pay differentials may apply where applicable.
