(USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

About the Role

Drives sales through effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory management, cleanliness, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Oversees stocking, rotation, and display of merchandise, ensuring the security of fragile and high-shrink items.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; provide feedback through store tours and communication.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, including managing customer service initiatives, resolving complaints, and implementing action plans for improvement.
• Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and setting clear expectations.
• Control unexplained merchandise loss and improve profitability by setting performance goals, reviewing inventory reports, and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Detect, deter, investigate, and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities, including gathering evidence and providing courtroom testimony.
• Monitor safety and risk controls, supervise safety team members, and implement accident prevention solutions.
• Manage facility-level training, claims, and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate job-related activities, build stakeholder relationships, and support business initiatives to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous learning among associates.

Requirements

• Completion of 2 years of college, or
• 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment, or
• 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment, or
• 2 years’ experience in asset protection or a related area.
• Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing).
• If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
• If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
• Ability to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
• Certification in an asset protection-related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
• General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
• Investigative experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Criminal Justice.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include regional pay zones (RPZ), state pay differentials, or complex structure adjustments based on location and external challenges.
