Truck Driver Trainer | Stockton, CA

About the role

We are seeking experienced drivers to serve as training mentors for new CDL A drivers. Trainers will earn up to $120,000 annually, compensated for both their own miles and those driven by their students.

Responsibilities

• Train new drivers in safe driving practices
• Drive safely and efficiently to minimize fuel costs and maximize mileage
• Provide guidance and support to new drivers
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Manage and maintain the vehicle

Requirements

• Minimum of 60,000 miles solo driving experience within the last year
• At least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, no major accident within 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• Pass a DOT physical and drug test

Qualifications

• Minimum of 30 days with Knight
• 6 months of Class A driving experience within the last 5 years
• No more than 1 moving violation in the last year
• No more than 1 preventable incident/accident in the last year

Pay

Trainers are compensated for both their miles and their students’ miles, potentially earning up to $120,000 annually.

Schedule

Trainers are required to run a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and work across 27 terminals nationwide.
