Truck Driver Trainer | Bakersfield, CA

About the role

We are seeking experienced and passionate drivers to serve as training mentors for our new trainee drivers. This role offers the opportunity to earn up to $120,000 annually while helping to develop the next generation of CDL A drivers.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new drivers
• Drive safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Manage and motivate trainee drivers
• Earn additional pay based on mileage and student’s mileage

Requirements

• At least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A license
• Minimum of 60,000 miles solo and 1 winter season driving OTR within the last 5 years
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, no major accident within 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• Must be willing to run a minimum of 2 weeks at a time
• Pass a DOT physical and drug test

Qualifications

• Minimum of 30 days with Knight
• 6 months of Class A experience within the last year or 1 year of Class A experience within the last 5 years
