Truck Driver Trainer | Lebec, CA

About the role

We are seeking experienced drivers to serve as training mentors for new CDL A drivers. Trainers will earn up to $120,000 annually, compensated for both their own miles and those driven by their students.

Responsibilities

• Train new drivers in safe driving practices
• Drive routes with assigned trainees
• Provide feedback and guidance to improve driving skills
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 60,000 solo miles within the last year
• At least 1 winter season driving experience
• Minimum of 21 years old
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last year
• No more than 1 preventable incident/accident in the last year

Qualifications

• Minimum of 30 days with Knight
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years
• No major accident within the last 5 years

Skills

• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Experience driving in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of commercial driving laws and regulations

Pay

Trainers are compensated for both their own miles and those driven by their students, potentially earning up to $120,000 annually.

Schedule

Trainers must be available to drive routes with their trainees, typically for 2 weeks at a time.
