Truck Driver Trainer | Sacramento, CA

About the role

We are seeking experienced drivers to serve as training mentors for new CDL A drivers. Trainers will earn up to $120,000 annually, compensated for both their own miles and those driven by their students.

Responsibilities

• Train new drivers in safe driving practices
• Drive a minimum of 2 weeks at a time
• Manage a student driver on the same vehicle
• Receive additional pay based on student mileage

Requirements

• Minimum of 60,000 solo miles within the last 12 months
• Minimum of 30 days with Knight Transportation
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last year
• No more than 1 preventable incident/accident in the last year

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license
• At least 21 years old
• At least 6 months of Class A driving experience within the last 5 years
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years
• No more than 1 major accident in the past 5 years

Pay

Trainers are compensated for both their miles and their student’s miles, potentially earning up to $120,000 annually.

Schedule

Trainers must be available to drive a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and manage a student driver on the same vehicle.
