Truck Driver Trainer | Fresno, CA

About the role

We are seeking experienced drivers to serve as training mentors for new CDL A drivers. Trainers will earn up to $120,000 annually, compensated for both their own miles and those driven by their students.

Responsibilities

• Train new drivers in safe driving practices
• Drive a minimum of 2 weeks at a time
• Drive a minimum of 200,000 miles per year
• Drive a minimum of 10,000 hours per year
• Pass a DOT physical and drug test

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license
• 6 months of Class A driving experience within the last 5 years
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• Minimum of 30 days with Knight
• Minimum of 60,000 solo miles and 1 winter season driving OTR within the last year

Pay

Trainers are compensated for both their miles and their student’s miles, potentially earning up to $120,000 annually.

Schedule

Trainers must be available to drive a minimum of 2 weeks at a time and drive a minimum of 200,000 miles per year.
