Truck Driver Trainer | San Jose, CA

About the role

We are seeking experienced and passionate drivers to serve as training mentors for our new trainee drivers. Trainers will earn up to $120,000 annually, compensated for both their own miles and those driven by their students.

Responsibilities

• Train new drivers in safe driving practices and company procedures
• Drive safely and efficiently, setting a positive example for new drivers
• Provide guidance and support to new drivers during their training period
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Minimum of 60,000 miles solo driving experience within the last year
• Minimum of 30 days with Knight Transportation
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years
• No more than 1 moving violation in the past year
• No more than 2 preventable incidents/accidents in the past year
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• At least 5 years of Class A driving experience

Pay

Trainers are compensated based on both their own miles and those driven by their students, potentially earning up to $120,000 annually.

Schedule

Trainers must be available to drive for minimum of 2 weeks at a time, typically working 8-hour shifts.
