Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PACU nursing care to postoperative patients, including airway, breathing, circulation, and monitoring of vitals
• Assess patient status in PACU, manage pain and nausea, and adjust care as patients recover from anesthesia
• Administer medications as ordered, monitor sedation levels, and respond to evolving conditions
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, including rapid assessment and coordination with the surgical team and anesthesia
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress; communicate with the surgical team and unit staff for smooth transitions
• Prepare patients for transfer to the next level of care or discharge planning in collaboration with the care team

Requirements

• Kansas Registered Nurse license in good standing
• BLS, ACLS, and PALs certifications
• Minimum 1 year of PACU and PreOp experience
• Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts; on-call 8 shifts per month with rotating weekends and holidays
• No new graduates accepted

About the role

This travel, temporary assignment begins 08/16/2026 for a 13-week contract in a short-term acute care setting.

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,251 to $2,355 per week.

Schedule

Shift pattern is 4x10-hour days.
