Travel PICU RN

About the role

PICU RN responsible for providing advanced specialized pediatric critical care in high-acuity settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, promptly reporting critical changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and monitors.
• Explain procedures and provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families based on individual needs.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice and document accurately in medical records.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year recent PICU RN experience and valid RN license.
• Current BLS, PALS, and preferred ACLS and CCRN certifications.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures.
• Effective interpersonal, motor, and sensory skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.
