About the role
We are seeking an experienced PICU RN for a travel assignment in a high-acuity pediatric intensive care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced specialized care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop complex care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and monitors
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
- Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding and emotional support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Minimum one year recent PICU RN experience
- Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations
- Current BLS and PALS (or ENPC) certifications; ACLS and CCRN preferred
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Physical ability to assist with procedures and move equipment
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
