About the role
We are seeking a skilled PICU RN to provide advanced critical care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a high-acuity setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement complex care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to pediatric protocols
- Operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and monitors
- Monitor patient conditions, record findings, and notify physicians of critical changes
- Respond to life-threatening situations in accordance with pediatric ICU standards
- Educate patients and families, document assessments, and ensure safety and infection control compliance
Requirements
- One year of recent PICU RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS, PALS certifications
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills
- Physical ability to move and operate equipment, interpersonal skills for team collaboration
- Proficiency in reading, writing, PC skills, and sensory acuity
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS and CCRN certifications
