Travel PCU Stepdown RN

About the Role

A skilled Stepdown RN is needed for a travel assignment to provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administering medications and treatments, assisting with cardiac procedures
• Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education on cardiac health
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting patient conditions
• Responding to emergencies and maintaining compliance with safety protocols

Requirements

• Minimum one year recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications

Qualifications

• Preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS

Skills

• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Strong mental focus, visual acuity, and ability to work under pressure
