A skilled Stepdown RN to provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general inpatient units.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist with cardiac procedures
- Respond to cardiac emergencies
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient status accurately
- Provide patient education
- Adhere to safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Requirements
- Recent Stepdown RN experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Qualifications
- Preferred certifications: PCCN and NIHSS
Skills
- Critical thinking and excellent communication
- Proficiency in English and PC skills
- Technical manipulation of medical equipment
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Strong interpersonal, mental, and sensory skills to handle fast-paced, detailed tasks
