Travel PCU Stepdown RN

About the role

A Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general inpatient units, requiring frequent monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities
• Administer medications and assist with cardiac procedures
• Assess patient conditions, document findings, and respond to emergencies
• Educate patients on cardiac health and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Recent minimum one-year experience as a Stepdown RN
• Valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications
• Critical thinking, effective communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to perform required tasks and handle equipment
• Proficiency in documentation, technical skills, and working under pressure
