Travel PCU Stepdown RN

About the role

Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data, responding to abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies and document patient assessments.
• Perform patient education focused on cardiac health.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.

Requirements

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred: PCCN and NIHSS certifications.
• Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures.
• Able to work under pressure, with attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality.
