Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse

About the role

Assist the Director with daily department operations, including staffing and workflow management in a Medical-Surgical unit located in Lewiston, Maine.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and evaluate team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain efficient use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and monitor care plans for necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during assigned shifts, supporting a safe, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) upon hire, with ongoing maintenance.
• At least one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg setting.
