Travel Charge Nurse

Responsibilities

• Oversees OR operations and nursing staff during shifts
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development and performance
• Assists with performance management and HR activities
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and department readiness
• Coordinates surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues appropriately
• Rounds with patients and families to promote positive experiences
• Provides direct patient care as needed to maintain standards

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum one-year experience as a staff nurse in acute care or ED
• Previous supervisory experience in acute care surgical OR setting (1-2 years)
• Competency in Sedation Monitoring

Pay
