About the Role
This position is for a Travel OR Charge Nurse in the OR/Surgery department, responsible for overseeing surgical operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise OR operations, staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments.
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Support staff development, performance management, and HR activities.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and department readiness.
- Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions.
- Address patient care concerns, escalate issues, and support positive patient experiences through rounding and direct care as needed.
Requirements
- Current and valid RN license in the state.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Sedation Monitoring competency.
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in acute care or ED setting.
- Previous supervisory experience (1-2 years) in an acute care surgical OR environment.
Pay
Competitive pay with weekly payments and a $3/hour differential.
