Travel Charge Nurse

About the Role

Supervise OR operations and nursing staff during shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations and policies. Oversee staffing, scheduling, daily assignments, and staff development while managing supplies, equipment, and department readiness. Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions, and address patient care concerns or escalate issues as needed. Conduct patient and family rounds to enhance the patient experience and provide direct patient care when necessary to maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OR operations and nursing staff during shifts.
• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations and policies.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments.
• Support staff development, performance management, and HR activities.
• Oversee supplies, equipment, and department readiness.
• Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions.
• Address patient care concerns and escalate issues appropriately.
• Conduct patient and family rounds to enhance patient experience.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain standards.

Requirements

• Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital or ED nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory experience (1-2 years) in a surgical OR setting.
• Competency in Sedation Monitoring.

Pay

Competitive weekly pay with a differential pay of $3/hour.
