Responsibilities
- Oversee OR operations and nursing staff during shifts
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments
- Supervise, coach, and support staff development
- Afford performance management and HR activities
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and department readiness
- Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions
- Address patient care concerns and escalate issues appropriately
- Conduct patient and family rounds to enhance patient experience
- Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain standards
Qualifications
- Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum one year as a staff nurse in an acute care or ED setting
- Previous supervisory experience (1-2 years) in surgical OR
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring
