About the role

Support staff are essential in providing comprehensive care and educational support to students with autism spectrum disorder. The role involves assisting with daily routines, implementing behavior plans, and collaborating with teachers and families.

Responsibilities

• Support students with autism in their daily activities
• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans
• Assist with classroom management and organization
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Valid Arizona teaching certificate or ability to obtain within one year
• Experience working with individuals with autism or similar disabilities preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting students with these conditions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is a regular shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
