About the Role
Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized care and discharge plans.
- Implement treatments based on established protocols.
- Evaluate patient responses to care.
- Coordinate care activities with other disciplines.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum nine months of RN experience, with one year in emergency care or completion of a related internship program.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale.
- Pediatric courses (ENPC or PALS) required within six months of hire.
Skills
- Strong assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic documentation.
- Effective communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
- Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Ability to function within professional standards of practice.
