About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and develop individualized care and discharge plans.
  • Implement treatments based on established protocols.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care.
  • Coordinate care activities with other disciplines.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum nine months of RN experience, with one year in emergency care or completion of a related internship program.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale.
  • Pediatric courses (ENPC or PALS) required within six months of hire.

Skills

  • Strong assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and electronic documentation.
  • Effective communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
  • Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
  • Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Ability to function within professional standards of practice.
