TDCJ - Industrial Specialist IV - Packing and Proc

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a department consisting of other agricultural supervisors and offenders
• Oversee production operations
• Conduct security checks and offender counts
• Ensure department cleanliness and complete required paperwork

Requirements

You'd be a good fit if you have:

• Criminal justice background and/or processing background
• Good communication skills
• Strong work ethic
• Detail-oriented approach

You'd be a great fit if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and/or criminal justice experience
• 2 years of meat processing experience
• Completed TDCJ pre-service training

Additional Information

• No travel required (day trips possible, no overnight trips)
• Work site visits are part of the role
• Pre-Service Training Academy required
• Classified as a hazardous duty/longevity position
• Outside applicants must pass pre-employment drug testing

Military Preference
