TDCJ - Industrial Specialist IV - Packing and Proc

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a department consisting of other agricultural supervisors and offenders
- Oversee production operations
- Conduct security checks and offender counts
- Ensure department cleanliness and complete required paperwork
Requirements
You'd be a good fit if you have:
- Criminal justice background and/or processing background
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Detail-oriented approach
You'd be a great fit if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and/or criminal justice experience
- 2 years of meat processing experience
- Completed TDCJ pre-service training
Additional Information
- No travel required (day trips possible, no overnight trips)
- Work site visits are part of the role
- Pre-Service Training Academy required
- Classified as a hazardous duty/longevity position
- Outside applicants must pass pre-employment drug testing
Military Preference
