About the role
This position is a supervisor of a department, working with offenders, supervising production, and performing security checks and counts. The role also involves paperwork and ensuring the department is clean. A Training Academy is required for this job.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in criminal justice and/or criminal justice experience is preferred. Additionally, 2 years of meat processing experience and pre-service TDCJ training are desirable.

Pay
The salary range for this position is:
- Industrial Specialist I: $3,463.82 - $3,537.92
- Industrial Specialist II: $3,638.40 - $3,716.86
- Industrial Specialist III: $3,823.44 - $3,906.52
Additional Information
Travel is not required, but the position may involve day trips. Work site visits are welcome. The position is considered hazardous duty/longevity. Outside applicants will be required to submit to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment.
