About the role

These positions report to either Estelle Textile or Huntsville Textile. Depending on the position you are selected for, will determine the factory you report to. Duties include oversight of textile mill operations and direct supervision of incarcerated inmates. These textile mills are responsible for the production of yarn and cloth for the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of textile mill operations and security of the mill
  • Direct supervision of incarcerated inmates
  • Administrative duties related to mill operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Security-minded approach to work
  • Commitment to accomplishing goals
  • Desire to be part of a team providing critical resources to the agency
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Interest in learning about daily manufacturing operations
  • Outside applicants must submit to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or financial assistance from the agency

Additional Information

  • No travel required (day trips may occur, but no overnight trips)
  • Work site visits are part of the role
  • No pre-service training academy required
  • Position is classified as hazardous duty/longevity
