Tax Support Associate - Retail

Role Overview The TurboTax Retail Expert is a dedicated on-site professional providing in-person tax services at retail locations. They leverage tax expertise to prepare returns, offer tax advice, and support TurboTax products, ensuring personalized solutions for diverse client needs. The role involves engaging with the community, attracting new clients, and fostering long-term relationships to grow the local customer base. It requires representing TurboTax locally, participating in marketing efforts, and creating an accessible, trustworthy environment for clients seeking tax assistance. Responsibilities Provide hands-on tax advice and full-service tax return preparation, handling simple to complex situations.Conduct discovery sessions to identify deductions, optimize refunds, and offer tax planning guidance.Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism, empathy, and personalized support.Engage with the community, build client relationships, and contribute to local marketing initiatives.Utilize resources such as government websites and team expertise to deliver accurate, understandable tax solutions. Qualifications & Skills Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with extensive tax preparation experience.At least 3 years of experience filing 30+ federal and state individual tax returns annually.Familiarity with Circular 230, PTIN requirements, and ability to obtain necessary state licenses.Comfort working onsite at retail locations, engaging with customers in person and via video tools.Strong communication skills, bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus, and a passion for community engagement.Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent customer service, and proficiency with tax software and CRM tools.
