Tax Support Associate - Retail

About the role

The TurboTax Retail Expert is responsible for providing in-person tax assistance at retail or flagship locations, serving as a trusted advisor to customers.

Responsibilities

• Offer comprehensive tax advice and full-service tax return preparation.
• Handle diverse tax situations, identify deductions, minimize liabilities, and maximize refunds.
• Build long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and personalized support.
• Actively engage with the community as a local ambassador, participate in marketing efforts, and attract new clients.
• Use TurboTax tools and resources to deliver accurate solutions and create accessible tax content.
• Address customer inquiries and help them navigate tax challenges both in-person and via video communication.

Qualifications

• Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience filing 30+ federal and state returns annually.
• Knowledge of tax law, familiarity with Circular 230, and current PTIN required.
• Strong communication skills, bilingual abilities a plus, and proficiency with tax software and CRM tools.
• Ability to work onsite, demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, and provide high-quality customer service in a retail environment.
• Willingness to wear a uniform and engage actively with the community is essential.
