Tax Support Associate - Retail

Role Overview A TurboTax Retail Expert serves as a trusted advisor in retail locations, providing in-person tax assistance, advice, and software support to diverse customers. You will handle a range of tax situations, from simple returns to complex filings, and help clients uncover deductions, optimize refunds, and plan for future taxes. Your responsibilities include representing the brand within the community, engaging prospects, and building long-term client relationships through proactive outreach and local marketing efforts. Delivering an exceptional customer experience with professionalism and genuine interest is central, fostering trust and loyalty. You will also contribute to community engagement by creating accessible tax content and participating in local events. Qualifications & Skills Active CPA, EA, or attorney license with extensive tax preparation experience.At least 3 years of preparing 30+ federal and state individual tax returns annually using professional software.Familiarity with Circular 230 and state licensing requirements.Strong communication skills, bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus.Comfort working onsite in a retail environment, wearing a uniform, and managing multiple priorities independently.Passionate about community engagement, customer empowerment, and building a personal brand online and offline.Technologically proficient with tax software and CRM tools.
