Tax Support Associate - Retail

Role Overview As a TurboTax Retail Expert, you will serve as a trusted advisor in a retail or flagship location, providing in-person tax services to customers. Your responsibilities include offering comprehensive tax return preparation, advice, calculations, and software support, while building long-term client relationships and growing the local community presence. You will engage prospects through marketing efforts, foster customer loyalty, and deliver exceptional service by understanding individual financial situations and helping clients achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on tax advice and prepare tax returns for various complexities, including personal and business income.Conduct discovery sessions to identify deductions, optimize refunds, and offer future tax planning.Create a positive customer experience through professionalism and genuine engagement.Participate in local marketing activities and community outreach to attract and retain clients.Utilize tax software and resources to ensure accurate, personalized solutions. Qualifications & Skills Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of experience filing over 30 federal and state tax returns annually.Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and familiarity with Circular 230.Comfortable working onsite, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in tax software.Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent customer service, empathy, and community engagement skills.Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus, along with the ability to create accessible tax content. Additional Details This role requires working in a retail environment, wearing a uniform, and engaging with clients both in person and via digital tools. Candidates should reside within the U.S. and be willing to obtain any necessary state licenses. Compensation includes base pay, bonuses, and benefits, with pay scale depending on location and experience.
