Role Overview A TurboTax Retail Expert provides in-person tax assistance, leveraging tax expertise to prepare returns, offer advice, and support customers using TurboTax products. They serve as trusted community ambassadors, engaging prospects, building long-term relationships, and promoting local marketing efforts. The role involves delivering exceptional customer experiences by understanding individual financial situations, uncovering deductions, minimizing liabilities, and maximizing refunds. Responsibilities Offer hands-on tax advice and complete tax preparations for diverse situations, including personal and business income.Conduct discovery sessions and reviews to identify deductions and optimize tax outcomes.Build community presence through outreach, marketing, and creating accessible tax content.Provide personalized, professional service to foster client trust and loyalty.Utilize tax software, government resources, and team expertise for accurate solutions. Qualifications & Skills Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of experience filing 30+ federal and state tax returns annually.Strong knowledge of tax law and familiarity with Circular 230.Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and ability to obtain applicable state licenses.Excellent communication skills, bilingual abilities a plus, and proficiency with tax software and CRM tools.Willingness to work onsite at retail locations, wearing a uniform, and engaging with the community.
