Surgical Tech Student Intern

About the role

The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role designed for students enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program. They will work alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and may assist in patient care under supervision from a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Physician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and patient care
• Perform direct and indirect patient support tasks
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – must be obtained within ninety (90) days of start date

Skills

• No prior experience required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail skills
