Surgical Tech Intern

About the role

The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role for students enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program, working alongside a Certified Surgical Tech. Under supervision from RNs and physicians, they may perform both direct and indirect patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and patient care tasks
• Support surgical team with necessary equipment and supplies
• Practice in surgical environments to gain hands-on experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Tech program

Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within 90 days of start
