About the role
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary position designed for students to gain hands-on experience in surgical settings. The intern works alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and may assist with direct and indirect patient care under supervision from Registered Nurses and Physicians.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures and patient care activities
- Collaborate with surgical team members
- Support clinical operations in surgical areas
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of start
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary
- Supervised by qualified healthcare professionals
