Surgical Technologist Intern

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance in operating rooms during surgical procedures, including room setup, case picking, and opening sterile items.
• Collaborate with experienced Surgical Technologists or Registered Nurses to hold retractors, handle instruments, or operate cameras.
• Assist Perioperative Support Technicians with room turnovers, terminal cleaning, and patient transport.
• Support surgical teams, ensure sterile environment, and assist with patient and room preparation to facilitate smooth procedures.

Requirements

• Completion of the first year of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Basic knowledge of surgical techniques.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Demonstrates manual dexterity, ability to lift and handle equipment, and physical ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, and reach.
