SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- BOYS FOOTBALL (ASSISTANT COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach is responsible for leading and managing the team, developing training programs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in coaching activities, providing guidance to players, and assisting in administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Coach athletes, providing technical and tactical guidance.
• Maintain player safety and ensure adherence to rules and regulations.
• Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices and games.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance team performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate (required for the Head Coach).
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to impart this knowledge.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level or equivalent.
• Previous administrative experience in sports management.
• Leadership experience in team-based environments.

SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose

Contact with players, parents, administrators, and other coaches is essential for effective communication and support.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Good vision and hearing to communicate effectively.
• Physical stamina to manage team activities.

• Nonexempt classification.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Florida Educator Certificate (Head Coach only).
