Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Carry out on the job training and assist within the operation
• Provide support for the team, liaise with Chief Steward regarding function set up and break down
• Accurately follow the instructions and routines for the cleaning of all areas within your designated area, this includes the use of the correct chemicals, tools and cleaning methods
• Inspect any equipment fully and according to the correct manual to ensure the correct and efficient working condition of the equipment and that the correct chemicals are being used
• Avoid time delays by ensuring all necessary cleaning materials and chemicals are collected from prior to proceeding to your designated area of work
• Maintain washing temperatures and recycling of dishwater in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Follow correct handling and storage procedures with all operating equipment to minimize breakage and stock losses
• Correctly follow polishing procedures when cleaning silver, copper, brass, gold or any other metal items and to ensure that the correct polishing agents are being used to avoid damage to or loss of items
• Be familiar with and fully trained in the operation of all electrical equipment to avoid accidents or injury to you or your colleagues. Do not operate any equipment without the relevant training
• Keep accurate records as required by the Chief Steward within your area of work
• To ensure that all Food Safety standards are followed to the fullest
• Assist with any other duties as required by the line manager or another member of the management team

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• An understanding of Health and Safety procedures, chemical usage
• Minimum of 1 year within a stewarding or cleaning role
• Experience in a leadership role is preferred
• Montana state Food Handler’s certificate

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
• Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
• Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
• Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
